Oil and Petrochemical Wastes 2019

March 19, 2019

Hall «Yaroslavl»
Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow

Dear Sirs!

CREON Energy has the pleasure of inviting you to the Fifth International «Oil and Petrochemical Wastes 2019» Conference. The event is held at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow on March 19, 2019.

Oil & gas production and processing have always been and continue to remain the key segments of Russian economy. They generate income for the country’s budget, they determine Russia's position in the global hydrocarbons market, and they provide for a stable feedstock supply for petrochemical enterprises.

The inevitable downside of oil and gas production is the impact on the environment. Until recently, the industrial wastes «lived their own life»: the E&P companies preferred not to notice they existed at all.

However, the level of environmental responsibility of oil and gas companies is gradually increasing. This is connected with tightening government regulations, and with stronger public awareness. CREON Group has been an active participant in this process since 2014, when the Environmental Transparency Rating of Oil & Gas Companies operating in Russia was launched. Its main goal is the environmentalization of oil and gas sector in Russia.

Consequently, the oil companies, wishfully or not, have started elaborating on possible options to process and utilize oil waste. The first steps have already been taken, but there is a long way ahead. And the main support should be provided by the government, which needs to formulate a competent strategy for oil, petrochemical and gas chemical waste management.

The following topics will be discussed at the Conference:

  • Overview and outlook for application of oil and drilling sludge as a feedstock: global practice and Russian reality.
  • Advanced technologies for waste processing in petrochemical and gas chemical sector.
  • Waste processing in Russia: present and future.
  • Government incentives for processing of sludge on paper and in reality.
  • Special aspects of BAT implementation.
  • International experience in petrochemical and gas chemical waste management.
